Benefit of running

There are no doubts that the benefits of running outweigh the negatives. This is a truly simple activity which will yield huge payback in terms of increased fitness.

All aerobic activities have a good payback, but this activity has more than many others due to the laws of physics - because you are fighting gravity as you move your body forwards, the benefits of running are magnified.

So what are the benefits of running?
  • Increased fitness: This is one of the quickest ways of getting fit. Three sessions per week will improve your aerobic fitness quicker than almost any other activity.

  • Weight control: This is a great way to lose weight. In fact there is pretty much a direct line correlation between miles per week and weight loss.

  • Muscle toning: This is also a great way to shape and tone the muscles in your legs. And because you'll also be losing weight, your new muscles will show!
In addition to these more obvious advantages, there are other reasons to exercise regularly in this way. Those who take regular exercise will also see improvements in their sleep patterns, feelings of general well-being, even their sex lives!

So lace up your shoes and hit the streets - you'll soon start to notice the difference.
