Womens bodybuilding exercise

For those who don't know, women's body building exercises are exactly the same as those practiced by the guys - our physiology reacts exactly the same to training regardless of gender, meaning that the same principles that allow guys to grow, work for the ladies.

If anything, women's body building exercises will focus more on the upper body than the legs - many ladies are naturally strong through the legs but lack upper body strength. It therefore makes sense to concentrate on this area.

In addition, because many females are naturally pear shaped, using women's body building exercises to add bulk to the upper body will lead to a more aesthetically pleasing, more balanced physique.

So what is the key principle to follow if you want to add some muscle? The basics are tied and tested, and rest upon the rules of progressive resistance:

Progressive resistance is the key to muscle growth, and simply means that you have to overload the body and keep overloading it. So if your workouts are too easy, if you complete each set with energy to burn, you won't make progress. To spark muscle growth you have to work hard, struggling to complete each set, forcing out that last rep. And when that weight becomes easy, you must increase it - that's the progressive part.
